Using Scenario Planning to Drive Change

December 6, 2022 from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm

Session Description

TRB’s recent 2nd Scenario Planning in Transportation Conference identified several important strategies that can equip all transportation agencies with the ability to respond successfully to change. These themes include: 1) a deeper understanding of the users of our systems and why they need the transportation system; 2) a renewed focus on why which requires a bias toward action; and 3) an understanding of the long-term and emerging trends which impact the need for and use of the transportation system. This session will discuss the need and ways to consider the why more successfully in decision-making in a world of constant disruptions.
