Biography
Connie Porter Betts, P.E. is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Planning at the Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development. In this capacity, her responsibilities include the administration of planning and programming matters related to bridge, pavement and asset management; data collection and analysis; highway project selection and programming; statewide and metropolitan transportation planning; highway safety; and public transportation. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1997. In her free time, Connie enjoys live music; still catching up from the void of COVID she’s seen 20 bands (some twice) at 6 different venues since April of this year.
