Q1 AASHTO CPBM/TPM TSP Joint Quarterly Meeting
The first Joint AASHTO CPBM/TPM TSP Quarterly Meeting of 2026 was held Thursday, March 5th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM ET. Riding the momentum of the 2026 TRB Annual Meeting, CPBM is hitting the ground running with fresh inspiration. Participants heard updates on the upcoming year and opportunities to contribute to the strategic direction of CPBM, collaborate with colleagues across state DOTs and partner organizations, and help shape the future of performance-based management in the transportation community.
CPBM Chair Christos Xenophontos (Rhode Island DOT) kicked off our Quarterly Meeting with a welcome and agenda overview, followed by agency updates from Federal Highways and AASHTO. Our feature presentation, “Driving Results Through Performance-Based Research Plan,” was a comprehensive dive into the CPBM Research Roadmap from our collaborators at Spy Pond Partners, Hyun-A Park and Frances Harrison. The session concluded with updates from the following CPBM groups:
