Planning Division Director, New Mexico DOT
Jessica Griffin, AICP, is the Planning Division Director for the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT). Jessica started at NMDOT in 2006 as the Safe Routes to School Coordinator, became the Planning Bureau Chief in 2016 and assumed oversight of the new Planning Division in 2020. Prior to working at NMDOT, Jessica served as the Planning Director for Silver City, NM. Jessica has a BA in Political Science from the University of Tennessee and an MA in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida Atlantic University. Jessica lives in Santa Fe, NM, with a menagerie of creatures (45ish old turtle, 3 dogs, 5 chickens and a fish, plus about 100 houseplants) and enjoys hiking, biking, camping, snowshoeing, gardening, music and pickleball (but isnt very good at it).
