Katie Zimmerman

Biography
Katie is the Founder and Executive Vice President of Applied Pavement Technology, Inc., a specialty civil engineering firm. Katie has a long history working with the asset and performance-based management communities over her career, serving in a leadership role on many projects to improve the use of data and analysis tools for managing highway assets. She has led the development of several state DOT TAMPs and has facilitated the development of strategic implementation plans for asset management. Katie is a licensed engineer and a graduate of the University of Illinois, where she received both her Bachelor and Masters’ degrees in Civil Engineering. Katie also played both oboe and bassoon in school bands.
