Acting Administrator of Planning, Rhode Island DOT
Pamela Cotter is Acting Administrator of Planning at Rhode Island Department of Transportation, where she has worked for more than six years. Pam manages a team of 33 planners, engineers, and analysts that are charged with developing and continuously updating RIDOT’s 10-Year Plan. Other duties include monitoring federal transportation policy, transportation asset management and resiliency efforts for the Department, and RIDOT’s Transit Office is now a part of that Planning team. Prior to joining RIDOT, Pam had a 25-year career as a journalist. A Pittsburgh native, Pam is a huge Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan. She’s married, has two grown sons and two grandsons.
