Biography
Dr. Steve Hardy is a Managing Director in Deloitte’s Artificial Intelligence & Mission Analytics practice with over 17 years of experience in advanced analytics and simulation. He leads some of the Deloitte’s most advanced analytics and product development including the development of Deloitte’s FutureScapeTM platform, an industry-first tool for analyzing the largest, most complex, “What If?” questions for a wide variety of clients and use cases. Dr. Hardy has experience leading teams doing advanced analytic research on national security and intelligence programs and is now expanding the use cases his simulation platform and teams are tackling by expanding into the transportation world. He has overseen multiple transportation analytics projects leveraging Deloitte’s patented FutureScapeTM platform to bring the power of distributed cloud computing to transportation agencies across the country and help them rethink the way mobility planning is done today. Dr. Hardy received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in nuclear astrophysics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. Interestingly, Steve made 42 roundtrips from the USA to Italy in a 5-year period.
