Biography
Ms. Sherman has more than 26 years of experience in traffic and civil engineering. She is skilled in a wide range of transportation services including traffic signal design, roundabout design, roadway design, traffic calming, transportation planning, municipal project funding and public facilitation. Ms. Sherman has extensive experience with intersection improvements. She is skilled in identifying capacity and safety deficiencies through collision analysis and capacity analysis using traffic simulation software. Her traffic signal experience includes traffic signal coordination and closed loop systems at multiple locations including traffic signal replacement projects, new traffic signal installations, peer-to-peer technology and the use of video detection and fiber optic communications. Ms. Sherman has also provided traffic engineering services associated with traffic calming studies, mid-block pedestrian crosswalk evaluations, multi-use path design and peer review of private development traffic impact and access studies. She has also prepared funding applications for roadway reconstruction and design exception reports as well as traffic management plans for utility installations.
