Biography
Rob Cary is an executive transportation leader in Deloitte’s Infrastructure program with over 30 years of progressive leadership experience in all facets of engineering, construction, maintenance, finance, operations, innovation, and management. Prior to joining Deloitte’s Infrastructure program, Rob served as the Chief Deputy Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Transportation where he capped a thirty-year career leading the nation’s third largest state-maintained transportation network. Rob has a proven record of accomplishment and improved metrics. By providing organizational leadership, developing exceptional teams, bringing extensive knowledge of the transportation ecosystem, leveraging innovation and by making high-quality decisions, the most critical business performance metrics were improved across the enterprise. Rob has extensive experience in multi-program and project management across the full scope of large-scale transportation programs with the ability to drive change and deliver innovative solutions. Interestingly, Rob once had lunch in a McDonalds at the table next to President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalyn.
